Location: Remote
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (37.5)
Salary: £26,000 per annum

We are recruiting the role of Collections Support / Assistant Bibliographer to co-develop and curate Kortext branded collections of eBooks for sale to target markets.
The Collections Support / Assistant Bibliographer will work within a small team within the Publisher Services Department and collaboratively with colleagues across the Operations, IT, Product Development and Commercial Departments.
Key responsibilities
Collections and Curation
- Assist with Kortext’s collection development programme
- Use Kortext’s enriched metadata records and additional sources of information to:
- Proactively develop collections of content for higher education subjects
- Develop collections of content to fulfil agreed Sales / Marketing / Commercial briefs within defined timeframes and budgets
- Brief and support colleagues across the Publisher Services Department to -
- Secure access to content for inclusion in collections
- Secure commercial agreement from Publishers for the inclusion of their content in collections
- Provide collection summaries for Kortext Sales / Marketing colleagues
Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Bibliographer/Curator to create collections which meet the needs of a range of customers
- Collaborate with Kortext colleagues including Account Managers, the Sales team, Operations, IT and Product to utilise the enhanced metadata records
- Feed into company reporting processes as required
Key skills & Requirements
- Relevant library and/or academic book trade experience is essential
- A formal library/information management qualification or 5+ years’ experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- A proven ability for self-learning and development is highly desirable
- Familiarity with and competence implementing relevant industry best practice
- Strong technical aptitude to learn and utilise an evolving array of tools in support of evidence-informed decision making
- A commitment to working in a collaborative team environment
- First class organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and to be flexible and adaptable in a variety of professional contexts
- Commercially minded and able to curate appealing collections of content
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail
