Placements and Internships

We work closely with universities to offer an exciting range of paid part-time, full-time and holiday internships and placements to talented third and final year students and recent graduates.

Here are some of our recent success stories...

Jack: When I began a placement at Kortext, I was a nervous 20 year old. I was worried about wha the future had in store for me. On my first day I was greeted with smiling faces and welcoming voices, little did I know that three months later I would be offered a permanent role at Kortext as a Business Analyst. I have now worked at Kortext for 2 years and come into work every day to face the challenges of a product team, (something 20 year old Jack never thought he could do). But with the amazing support my team and the business offer, I take these challenges in my stride. Kortext has enhanced my knowledge of processes and professional life, whilst understanding that everyone is human. 10/10 would apply again!

Roberta: I am Roberta and I am Italian. When I was in Italy, I got my BA in Modern Languages and Foreign Literature. Then, I came to Bournemouth to improve my English, as well as start a master’s course in Tourism Management and Marketing. The course was a year long and, while I was writing my dissertation, I began my internship at Kortext as an eCommerce Assistant. This internship allowed me to better understand the concept of digital marketing as well as improve my SEO knowledge. Now that I’ve graduated, I am working at Kortext as an SEO and Business Analyst, trying to increase the brand and website visibility on Google as well as on social media.

Michael: I'm Michael, a Software Engineering student from Bournemouth University on my placement year with Kortext. I interned with the company prior to my placement - where I helped redesign our apps across platforms. As a fully-fledged UX Designer, my role is diverse and exciting. From designing the information architecture of new products, to directly helping with front-end development, this placement has provided me with no shortage of opportunities to use my skills and learn new ones. My highlights so far have been the company conference in Canada where I presented design work to (almost) the entire company, and directly working on projects which will help entire nations access the educational resources they need in innovative new ways.

I'm only halfway through my placement here but I already feel like a key part of the team, plus the responsibility and trust I've been given has been fantastic. The people I've been working with are all very talented and I have learnt so much from them already, and I am looking forward to learning more in the coming months.

Deniz: My name is Deniz and I am a Turkish Freelance Illustrator. I have recently completed my Illustration degree at Arts University Bournemouth. I started my journey in Kortext during my studies working as a Visual Designer intern back in May 2018. Right from the very first interview, I felt like I was joining a great team. The Kortext family is genuinely invested in my personal and professional growth. My internship experience was definitely a sprint, and I learned more than I could imagine in three months. The skills I have learned during this time and the successful internship experience helped me continue my journey with Kortext, setting up as a Freelance Illustrator after graduation, which was definitely a great jumpstart for my career. The transition into my new business was smooth and seamless and the team has been very supportive and welcoming. It’s exciting and motivating to work with people that have the same drive with a clear vision, who are absolutely dedicated to doing the best they can.
